We narrowed down the battery choices between a Venom 20C 5000mAh 7.4 LiPO battery and a Tenergy 7.4V 900mAh 25C LiPo. While both these batteries provide the voltage we need,the Venom battery provides a longer lifespan. If our setup was to drain 5A continuously, the Venom would provide current for one hour, while the Tenergy battery would provide less than 1/5 of that lifespan. While the Venom would provide for a longer mission duration, it comes at a cost. The Venom sales for roughly $45 and the Tenergy sales for $15. The Venom is also nearly half a pound heavier. Before we can make a decision on which battery to use, we will need to construct and connect the servos to have an accurate estimate on how much power the full build will need. At that point we will conduct the full power study, which will lead us to decide which battery is best for us.
